What is Entrupy?
Entrupy is one of the world's leading authentication technologies for luxury handbags.
Using high-resolution microscopic imaging and artificial intelligence trained on millions of reference images, it provides independent verification that complements our own expertise.
At Origami Vintage, technology reinforces experience—it never replaces it.
Why do you use independent authentication?
We believe authenticity should never depend solely on reputation or opinion.
Independent authentication provides objective verification and an additional level of confidence for every collector.
It reflects our commitment to transparency and responsible curation.
Do all handbags receive a Certificate of Authenticity?
Every handbag authenticated through Entrupy is delivered with its own digital Certificate of Authenticity.
The certificate is uniquely linked to the handbag and forms part of its documentation.
Can I see the certificate before purchasing?
Yes.
Upon request, we are pleased to share the Certificate of Authenticity before purchase whenever available.
The certificate is also provided with every authenticated handbag after the sale.
Why is the certificate digital?
A digital certificate remains permanently associated with the authenticated handbag.
It provides greater traceability, reduces the risk of loss or alteration and allows the authentication record to remain securely documented throughout the life of the item.
What happens if a handbag does not pass authentication?
Quite simply, it is never offered for sale.
Our policy is straightforward:
No certificate. No sale. No exceptions.
What if a handbag is later proven not to be authentic?
Every authenticated handbag is covered by the Origami Vintage Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee.
In the exceptionally unlikely event that a handbag is conclusively determined to be non-authentic by the original Maison, Entrupy or another recognised independent authentication authority accepted by Origami Vintage, we will:
- accept the return of the handbag;
- refund 100% of the purchase price;
- refund the original shipping costs.
Our commitment to authenticity does not end once the sale is completed.
Does authentication increase the price?
No.
Independent authentication is included as part of our curation process.
We consider it an essential responsibility, not an optional service.
Why should I buy a certified vintage handbag?

Are all products authenticated through Entrupy?
No.
Entrupy currently supports a selection of luxury maisons and product categories.
Where a product is not eligible for Entrupy authentication, Origami Vintage relies on recognised industry standards, specialist expertise and provenance research appropriate to the nature of the item.
Regardless of the authentication method, every product is selected according to the same standards of quality, integrity and transparency.
